Al Habtoor Group Founding Chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor met with the new Chairman of multinational law firm DWF at the Al Habtoor Group head office.
Knowles, who is based in the UK, was accompanied by DWF Managing Partner & CEO Andrew Leaitherland and Rabih Tabbara, International Arbitration Partner, who is based in the UAE. Also present was Hadi El Kadi, Group General Counsel, Al Habtoor Group.
The DWF Chairman, who is currently in the United Arab Emirates to meet with high-profile individuals, told Al Habtoor about the status of the global legal system in general.
Knowles, who received his knighthood in 2009 for his services to the legal profession, is one of the UK’s best-known lawyers. He also served in the high profile position of High Sheriff of Greater London for one year in 2016.
Al Habtoor wished him the best of luck in his new role and told him about the benefits of doing business in the UAE. “The UAE is a multicultural society which encourages businesses to flourish,” he said. “There are many advantages here including tax benefits, incentives as well as safety and security.”
