Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, Al Habtoor Group welcomed Italian entrepreneur Nerio Alessandri, Chairman, CEO & Founder, Technogym Group at the Al Habtoor Group head office on Tuesday 15 November 2016. Mr Alessandri was part of a delegation led by His Excellency Liborio Stellino, Ambassador of Italy to the United Arab Emirates, and Umberto Bernardo, Deputy Head of Mission.
Mr Alessandri, who says health is “a new luxury”, briefed the group about the advantages of his fitness equipment and wellness concept.
They discussed potential cooperation within the Al Habtoor Group. After the meeting the delegation went on a tour of some of the Group’s hospitality assets, including Al Habtoor City and the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.
Chairman Al Habtoor, who is renowned for his love of sport, particularly tennis, said he is willing to explore ideas to expand on Dubai’s ‘Wellness Economy’, which is considered a new frontier.
“Wellness in Dubai is on the growth trajectory,” he said. “I look forward to exploring options that help promote healthier lives. As Dubai’s population grows and we see continued urbanization, wellness is more important than ever.”
