The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation (KAHF) has concluded its two-part Ramadan campaign in Lebanon.  A team from the Foundation travelled around the country distributing more than 14,550 aid packages to impoverished people. This included 5,000 food parcels in Tripoli through former Lebanese Justice Minister, General Ashraf Rifi.

The KAHF assisted many Syrian and Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon, as well as Lebanese families living in poverty. The campaign ran from 1-10 June and saw the Foundation team travel from the capital Beirut to the far North of the country. Beneficiaries included people living in Saida, Iqlim Al-Kharroub, Aramoun, Bchemoun, Akkar, Bakke, and Arsal.

The Foundation coordinated with many aid agencies and relief organisations to help distribute the air. It collaborated with Lebanese Arab Crescent, Humanitarian and Development Aid Office of the UAE Embassy in Beirut, Lebanese Relief and Humanitarian Aid Organisation (Dar Al Fatwa), the Islamic Centre for Studies and Media, the Association of Family Development and Awareness, The Community Association of Trashiha Palestinians.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group and Founder of the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation said, “I am happy that so many people benefited from our Ramadan campaigns. More than 14,000 aid packages were handed out by the KAHF team. Thousands of men, woman and children benefited from the food parcels. It is important for them to know that the world has not forgotten them.”
