Al Habtoor Group organized an entertainment day for senior citizens from the Happiness Center for Senior Citizens in Ajman, under the Ministry of Community Development, and the Community Development Authority in Dubai, on the occasion of "International Day for Older Persons," which falls on the first of October every year, at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort.
The event was held under the gracious patronage and presence of Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Mr. Rashid Al Ghumlas, director of the Elderly Care Home at the Happiness Center for Senior Citizens in Ajman, Jamal Abdul Rahman from the Community Development Authority in Dubai, along with several officials and senior managers from Al Habtoor Group, in addition to senior citizens and their companions.
The event included various activities, where Khalaf Al Habtoor welcomed the senior citizens, engaged in conversations with them, followed by a guest reciting a poem. Then after breakfast, everybody gathered to watch a friendly polo match and enjoyed their time at the resort.
On this occasion, Khalaf Al Habtoor said: "Our Islamic values call for respecting and honoring senior citizens, highlighting their role in the development and service of society, and recognizing their ability to contribute, and benefiting from their professional and academic experiences. Such events and activities bring joy to them and make them feel their human and societal worth, achieving a dignified quality of life."
Al Habtoor added: "Focusing on the senior citizens category and adopting this term for them indicates our commitment to elevate them and ensure their active involvement and effective participation in society."
Rashid Al Ghumlas, the director of the Elderly Care Home at the Happiness Center for Senior Citizens in Ajman, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Khalaf Al Habtoor for his participation in this event and his continuous efforts to strengthen relations with institutions concerned with social affairs.
It is worth mentioning that Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, spares no effort in providing charitable assistance and supporting humanitarian efforts both inside and outside the country. Al Habtoor Group was recently honored with an appreciation award for its role in social work by the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs/ Social Development in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
