Recently, it has been reported and brought to the attention of al Habtoor Group an increase in the number of incidents of persons or groups attempting to commit cyber and telephone scams by fraudulently impersonating Al Habtoor Group and/or pretending to be an Al Habtoor Group or any of its subsidiaries employee, in an email or by making a fraudulent phone call or f using a disguised email, phone number, fake social media accounts that appear to be a legitimate Al Habtoor Group account or employees, to commit fraudulent acts, stealing or seizing money from targeted people or companies, all of which are considered illegal and penalised under applicable federal laws in the United Arab Emirates, specifically under criminal laws and cybercrime laws.
Therefore, Al Habtoor Group hereby warns from such fraudulent acts and attempts and confirms that such acts, transactions and correspondences are purely fake, and all investment and transactions with Al Habtoor Group are done through Al Habtoor Group’s head office and its subsidiaries, and we hereby warn against such promotions and illegitimate proposals and transactions. Al Habtoor Group does not undertake any liabilities whatsoever as a result of such acts and illegitimate transactions, and it has and will take all necessary legal action against all such individuals and entities impersonating Al Habtoor Group or its subsidiaries or employees or shareholders.
