Khalaf Al Habtoor Welcomes Armstrong Williams, American Political Commentator, Entrepreneur, Author and Media Host

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Al Habtoor Group Founding Chairman received Armstrong Williams, American conservative commentator, businessman, author, and host of a daily radio show and nationally acclaimed US TV programme called The Armstrong Williams Show. Mr. Williams was joined by Senator Kent M. Williams, member of the South Carolina State Senate District 30 at the Al Habtoor Group head office. Representatives from the Al Habtoor Group included Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors, Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Maan Halabi, Managing Director, Sanjeev Agarwala, Chief Operating Officer – Real Estate and Investments and Noura Badawi, Chief Communications Officer.

The meeting came ahead of the first and exclusive political panel discussion with Armstrong Williams entitled ‘Voicing the Arab Perspective to US Media’ hosted by Khalaf Al Habtoor at the V Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. Broadcast across US network television, the town hall session aims to voice a regional perspective on current regional affairs to the American people from an Arab World perspective. Khalaf Al Habtoor will be joined by several guests including Dr Nada Mourtada - Sabbah, Secretary General, the University Leadership Council, Dr Eesa Al Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, Faisal J. Abbas, Editor in Chief of Saudi paper Arab News, and Kuwaiti Political Analyst Dr Fahd Al Shelaimi.

Khalaf Al Habtoor highlighted the positive developments human rights track record of the region and women empowerment.

Al Habtoor said “In the GCC, we are people of action. We don’t need to import foreign democracy. We have a perfect democracy already in place. Our citizens are guaranteed safety, security, education, healthcare, housing and family support.

“In the UAE we do not differentiate against anyone, we accepted people of all cultures and religions, and we learn from each other,” he added.

The delegation also visited The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Life Journey exhibit, an interactive journey of the Al Habtoor Group Chairman’s life revealing the different aspects of his personality through innovative technology.

Armstrong Williams commented on his first visit to the United Arab Emirates, “This is my first time in an Arab Muslim country and I am excited to broadcast my show to over 62 million viewers from now until the end of the year. We are not here to add to the stereotypes that are already exist amongst Americans on the Arab World. We are here to show the progress and the way of life your, respect for God and morality, which create meaning in life.”

Earlier this year, Al Habtoor gave an exclusive interview on the Armstrong Williams Show which was broadcast on WJLA TV News Channel 8.
