Emirates International School – Jumeirah Appoints Pratibha Rao as New School Principal

Emirates International School - Jumeirah has announced the appointment of Pratibha Rao as the new School Principal. Ms. Rao has been a pioneer in IB education in the region since 1993, with over 25 years of educational experience in the classroom and administration.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rao has played a key role in raising the quality of teaching and interactive learning at international schools across Dubai, which resulted, in her most recent role, with an improved overall school rating by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’.

Amna Khalaf Al Habtoor, Director of Schools, Emirates International Schools, said “Since opening in 1991, EIS has benefited from an excellent team of qualified educators and administrators who have been committed to enhancing the educational, personal and physical development of our students. I am pleased to welcome Ms. Rao to the team, and hope her contribution and leadership will be a key factor for EIS-Jumeirah to achieve an outstanding level.”

Established in 1991, Emirates International School – Jumeirah was the first school to open in Dubai providing IB curriculum for students from over 70 different countries. Today, EIS-Jumeirah provides quality international education in English for more than 2,200 students from EY 1 to Year 13.
