Chairman offers to pay 20 per cent of homes purchased by UAE Military personnel at The Residence Collection
Military staff also eligible for 50 per cent off at AHG hotels, 20 per cent discount at Group’s F&B, leisure & entertainment outlets
The Al Habtoor Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates at a ceremony held at the Al Habtoor Group head office. The MoU aims to provide UAE military personnel with special discounts at Al Habtoor Group’s hotels, restaurants, leisure and entertainment facilities in the UAE and internationally.
The special rates extend a 50 per cent discount at all Al Habtoor Group hotels in Dubai and abroad for UAE military staff, as well as 20 per cent reduction at the Group’s leisure and entertainment facilities, including La Perle by Dragone, the new aqua show at Al Habtoor City.
Al Habtoor said the UAE military would also be eligible for a special discount on sales of apartments within the Al Habtoor Residence Collection. Al Habtoor said he would personally pay 20 per cent towards any units purchased by UAE military personnel. The Al Habtoor City luxury homes range from one to seven bedrooms and sit directly on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal.
The MoU was signed between Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, Al Habtoor Group and Colonel Eng. Salem Mohammed Al Mansouri, representing the G. H. Q. Armed Forces. Also present was Colonel Eng. Obeid Mohammed Al Kaabi and Brigadier Eng. Khalid Ali Mohammed Al Khuzaimi.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said, “The UAE military personnel put their lives on the line daily for their country to keep us safe, and to ensure the security of the region. It is our duty to repay them in some way.”
He added, “I want to recognize the Armed Forces of the UAE for the tireless effort they put in day after day to ensure we are kept safe. I commend them for their efforts to protect the UAE.
The Al Habtoor Group has seven hotels in the UAE and seven abroad; The St Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City, The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City, The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, The Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection and The Metropolitan Dubai. The Group’s international properties include two hotels in Beirut, one in London, two in Budapest, one on Vienna, and one in Illinois in the United States.
The move follows a similar discount plan announced late last year for the Dubai Police.
