The MoU aims to provide Dubai Police staff with special discounts at Al Habtoor Group entities including at Al Habtoor City hotels (The St. Regis Dubai; W Dubai – Al Habtoor City; The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City); Al Habtoor Motors, and La Perle by Dragone, the new world-class aqua show which opened in The Atrium at Al Habtoor City in a purpose-built theatre in August.

Signing the MoU on behalf of Dubai Police was Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander in Chief, Dubai Police. Also present was Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group and Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors. Accompanying Maj. Gen. Al Merri was Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic in Dubai; Brigadier General Khalid Nasser Al Razzouqi, director general of smart services; Brigadier General Jamal Al Jallaf, Deputy Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs; Colonel Abdullah Khadim Al Muasam, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station; Mona Al Ameri, Head of the Happiness Committee, Dubai Police.

Khalaf Al Habtoor said, “At the Al Habtoor Group we have a long-standing cooperation with the Dubai Police. I encourage the private sector to work closely with the public sector. The Dubai Police work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors to Dubai. They should be recognized for their service.”

His Excellency Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri said that the signing of the Dubai Police Employee Happiness programme, known as ‘Esaad’ is a reflection of the ‘Saada’ initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote the happiness of Dubai Police employees. The programme is aimed at rewarding employees for the performance, commitment and dedication to the job.

Major General Al Marri praised the efforts of Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, Al Habtoor Group, for supporting Dubai Police and the community to achieve common goals and offer special offers to Dubai Police employees.

The Al Habtoor Group recently acknowledged several government departments, including Dubai Police, following the successful launch of La Perle at Al Habtoor City, which sees an increased footfall of 3,000 people per night into the luxury development.

Al Habtoor said, “The Dubai Police helped ensure the smooth flow of traffic in and out of Al Habtoor City.”

The Al Habtoor Group is also a regular sponsor of the White Points System, which was launched by Dubai Police in 2012 to reward valid license holders for good driving.
