Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services Discuss Cooperation with Al Habtoor Group

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) discusses potential cooperation with Al Habtoor Group (AHG). A delegation from the UAE conglomerate met with the Khalifa Bin Drai, CEO of DCAS; Fares Al Berdan, Events Supervisor; Sultan Abd El Hamid, and Mohammad Mohsen, Vice President of Air Ambulance Division. Representing the Al Habtoor Group was Abd El Ghani Chiha, Government Relations Manager and Chadi El Deek, Group Risk Manager.

Bin Drai stressed that the Corporation was keen on cooperating with UAE institutions, whether private or public, in accordance with the directives of the UAE leadership.

They discussed ways to develop cooperation and enhance coordination in order to benefit from the DCAS’s experience in providing ambulance services for events and celebrations, and deploying teams of paramedics and emergency intervention for a rapid response time in the event of an accident or emergency. The Al Habtoor Group discussed upcoming events including the opening of the Hotel Collection at Al Habtoor City, a new landmark destination on Sheikh Zayed Road and the upcoming Dubai Water Canal. They also discussed cooperation for the launch of La Perle by Dragone – a permanent show in a purpose-built threatre. They discussed how to avoid accidents and overcrowding at largescale events.

The delegation was informed of the new methods used in relief and ambulance services, and listened to an explanation about the preparations carried out by the Corporation to deal with crises, accidents, emergencies and calamities. Both sides also discussed smart solutions to help field teams carry out their work in innovative ways that would enable them to respond immediately and implement necessary rescue measures.

Chadi El Deek, Group Risk Manager, commended the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services for its role in responding to all accidents with the help of professional teams and in continuously developing innovative working methods.

El Deek stressed that Al Habtoor Group was keen on ensuring the safety and security of all staff. “Risks linger everywhere,” he said.  “We have to be ready to address them. Preparation is the key.”

They also discussed the possibility of signing an agreement aimed at launching awareness campaigns about the foundations and principles of first aid throughout all Al Habtoor Group units.
