12-JUL-2016

Brand new 18,000 sq ft kitchen facilities holds capacity to produce 45,000 meals per day

Al Habtoor Group Vice Chairman and CEO Mohammed Al Habtoor inaugurated Dubai’s largest and newest catering facility – Metropolitan Catering on 12 July 2016 in the presence of local media and VIP clients. The state of the art facility, located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, offers private, corporate and commercial catering of uncompromising quality and unbeatable value.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests were taken on an exclusive tour alongside a mouth-watering array of refreshments presented by Director of Culinary Chef Paul Hage and his team.

The multimillion-dirham investment made by the Al Habtoor Group marks start of a new era for Metropolitan Catering, including the rebuild and fit-out of its new state of the art kitchens. With an increased capacity enabling an output of up to 45,000 meals per day, the new 18,000 square foot facilities are the newest and largest of their kind in Dubai.

In the market for over three decades, Metropolitan Catering delivers a bespoke, dependable and unrivalled catering solution to clients across all range of events and services - large or small, corporate, commercial or consumer. It continues to cater for Dubai’s leading companies as a trusted supplier with its team of professionally-trained chefs and hospitality specialists.

In line with the new facilities in the Jebel Al Free Zone, Metropolitan Catering also unveiled a fresh brand identity, which was showcased at this year’s Arabian Travel Market.

Mohammed Al Habtoor said, “Metropolitan Catering is a fresh and forward thinking company improving in line with the growing demands of Dubai clientele. The recent renovation is a manifestation of the growing a culture of excellence from within to consistently deliver the highest quality of food, service and value.”

Earlier this year, the company also welcomed new General Manager, Ramy El Sayah, who will oversee a line-up of over 170 chefs, hospitality professionals and logistics experts.

Ramy El Sayah said, “It is a very exciting time for us, we are immensely proud of the new facilities and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our operation. The investment has elevated Metropolitan Catering to a stand out choice amongst its peers and we’re looking forward to winning new business as a result.”
