Outstanding IB Results at EIS-Jumeirah

07-JUL-2015

The 2015 cohort of IB Diploma graduates at EIS-Jumeirah have gained outstanding results. The highest honour goes to Anoushka Chowdhary, who gained an impressive 43 points out of a maximum 45 (equivalent to 4 A* and one 1 A grade at A-Level when using UCAS university entry tariffs).

She was accompanied by five other students who achieved scores of 40 or higher: Hozefa Basrai; Sweta Gangopadhyay; Meher Malik; Antonio Tabet and Ashdeep Seth.

The school average points score of 33 remained well above the international average.

School Principal, David Hicks, said “we are delighted with the consistently high performance at EISJ. This is the third consecutive year that our Diploma average has been at 33 points or higher and in that time we have seen 26 students achieve 40 points or more. Arguably more impressive for a school, which is inclusive and diverse in its intake, is a consistent achievement of overall success with around 93% of our Year 13 cohort gaining the full Diploma, more than twenty of whom have been at the school since KG1.”

Students from EIS-Jumeirah will progress to prestigious universities worldwide with UK, US and Canadian universities being the preferred destinations for many. In recent years graduates have attended MIT, London School of Economics, King’s College London, Univ. of California (Berkeley), Stanford, Warwick, Pomona College, McGill and many other universities of high repute.
