Al Habtoor Group and Atkins Discuss Further Collaboration

Al Habtoor Group Chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor discusses future collaboration with leading multidisciplinary design consultancy Atkins. Al Habtoor met Atkins Middle East CEO, Simon Moon at his office on Al Wasl Road on Thursday May 8, 2015 where they discussed upcoming projects.

Atkins is currently working on the Al Habtoor Group’s mixed-use development, Al Habtoor City – which incorporates three five-star hotels on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal, and three luxury high-rise residential towers. Atkins is involved in the residential towers, which incorporates 1,450 apartments, including 11 exquisite penthouses.

Al Habtoor said, “We are looking at expanding on our business relationship with other projects in Dubai. Our current work together also includes the St. Regis Dubai Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club in Dubailand. The project offers something unique to Dubai, catering to the equestrian community, and providing for all riding disciplines from polo to dressage in the midst of five-star luxury.”

Moon added, “We’re proud to be working closely with Al Habtoor Group on some of the most exciting and important projects in Dubai and we look forward to further developing our long-term relationship.”

The meeting included Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group; Martyn Wild, Director of Architecture, Al Habtoor Group; Yehya Herfouch, Director of Projects, Al Habtoor Group; Lord Boyce, Senior Advisor to the Middle East CEO, Atkins; Tom Hasker, Managing Director – Property, Atkins and Kourosh Salehi, Principal Architect, Atkins.

The Group also discussed the potential of overseas collaborations, with a focus on Egypt where the Al Habtoor Group Chairman is actively looking for expansion.
