Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group, welcomed the French Consul-General to Dubai, His Excellency Majdi Abed at his office on Al Wasl Road on Sunday, May 3, 2015. His Excellency Abed took up his post late last year.
The two men, who have met previously, discussed ways to encourage more French businesses to the United Arab Emirates, and collaborative efforts from both parties. Also present was Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group; and Jerry Morgan, Advisor to the Chairman.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, who has previously welcomed several business delegations from France, said he would like to see more international companies in Dubai.
“Dubai is a perfect destination for international businesses, French or otherwise. We are geographically well placed between Asia and Europe and the gateway to Africa. The UAE offers ease of doing business and encourages both SMEs and large corporations,” he said.
“Our economy is thriving. This is where the growth is. There are an abundance of opportunities here in many sectors.”
HE Abed thanked Al Habtoor for this continued support of the French community in Dubai.
