Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group welcomed a delegation from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) on Thursday March 26, 2015. The Chairman was introduced to the delegation by Toshiaki Nomura, President (Board of Directors), Mitsubishi Motors Middle East and Africa.
The group included Yusaku Ishida, Managing Director (MHI Engine System Middle East Fze), Karim Khalil, Sales Manager, (MHI Engine System Middle East Fze) and Akihiko Tsuchida, General Manager, (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries). Also present was Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group; Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors, and Ahmed Al Habtoor, CEO, Al Habtoor Motors.
This is the first time the Al Habtoor Group and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have met. The meeting focused on potential business opportunities and future collaboration – particularly in the UAE and wider region.
Al Habtoor said, “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is a pioneer in the manufacturing industry; it has a wide range of products and years of expertise across many markets.”
MHI develops and manufactures key components such as wings and fuselages for civil aircraft, as well as industrial machinery, space systems, trains, and a wide range of large ships and offshore structures.
The Al Habtoor Group has had a business partnership with Mitsubishi Motors since the 1980’s when it first entered the auto industry
